Crockpot Cinnamon Applesauce

This cinnamon applesauce is delicious and versatile. It can be used in recipes, poured over ice cream, put on top of pancakes, or even eaten as is!

Ingredients
  

  • 9 Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and cut in large chunks
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cloves

Instructions
 

  • Peel, core, and cut apples.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar and spices.
  • Pour the sugar mixture over the apples and toss to coat.
  • Pour the apples into the Crockpot with the water.
  • Cook on LOW for 6 hours.
  • Mash to desired thickness.
  • Serve warm, cold, or processed in jars using the water bath method.
