Ingredients

  • 12 oz broccoli slaw 1 package
  • 1/4 red onion slivered
  • 1 Gala apple or other sweet apple, slivered
  • 1/3 cup light mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 lemon zested
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Put the broccoli slaw, red onion and apple in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk the mayo, vinegar, horseradish, sugar, lemon zest and salt until creamy and smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss until evenly coated. Chill until serving so the flavors meld.

Notes

The mayo tames the horseradish, leaving just a pleasant punch. A colorful Easter side next to roasted Brussels sprouts and baked mac and cheese.
