Prep Time 2 minutes
Total Time 2 minutes
Servings: 3 tablespoons (1 packet)
Course: Seasoning
Cuisine: Mexican

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Combine all the spices in a small bowl and stir until evenly blended with no clumps.
  2. Taste and adjust: less red pepper for mild, a pinch more chili powder or a dash of cayenne for heat.
  3. Use right away or store in a mason jar or airtight container. Double or triple the batch to keep on hand.

Notes

One batch equals about one store packet; use 2-3 tablespoons per pound of meat.
