Ingredients

  • 2x 15 oz cans Sliced Peaches
  • 1 box yellow cake mix standard size
  • 1/2 cup butter sliced into thin pats

Equipment

  • 1 crockpot 6-quart or similar size
  • 1 can opener for opening peaches
  • 1 spatula or wooden spoon

Method

  1. Pour both cans of peaches (with syrup) into the bottom of your crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches.
  3. Arrange the butter pats evenly over the top of the cake mix.
  4. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours, or until the top is golden and the edges are bubbly.
  5. Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • You can substitute other canned fruit (like cherries or apples) for the peaches.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg over the peaches before adding the cake mix.
  • For a crispier topping, prop the lid open slightly during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Serve with ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
