It usually starts with one bite. Someone tries a cookie at a party or picks up a box on a whim, and then they take that first bite and realize it isn’t a store-bought cookie.
We make our cookies by hand in small batches at the bakery on Greenway Drive in Knoxville. Chilled dough, careful handling and the right bake time give us a soft, thick center and a gentle crisp on the edges. The flavor is rich without being heavy or overly sweet.
People start with one box and end up ordering cookies for everything: baby showers, office events, holiday gifts, or just something to have with coffee at home. Our hand-decorated royal icing sugar cookies are made to match your theme, and they show up on a lot of party tables. Couples who order wedding cakes from us sometimes add cookies to the dessert table next to our classic desserts, so guests get more than one sweet to pick from.
Some of these recipes started in Heidi’s own kitchen. Others came from trial, error and a lot of taste testing. Dan is our official cookie quality control guy, and his go-to favorites are the chocolate chip and the oatmeal, especially with a hot cup of coffee in the morning.

Do you offer gluten-free cookies at Heidi’s Bakery?
At this time, we don’t offer gluten-free cookies. If that changes in the future, we’ll be sure to let our customers know through our website and social media.
How long do your cookies stay fresh, and can I freeze them?
Our cookies hold up great on the counter for a few days. If you need to store them longer, they freeze well. Just place them in an airtight container and they’ll keep for up to a month.
What’s the minimum order for custom cookies?
For custom classic cookies, we ask for at least 12. For royal icing cookies, the minimum is 20. That’s because our dough is made in larger batches and it helps our bakers work efficiently.
How much notice do I need to give for an order?
We ask for at least 7 days’ notice for custom cookie orders so we can schedule your bakes alongside other projects and give your order the time it deserves.
Do you offer allergy-friendly cookies?
We don’t offer cookies made specifically for allergies or dietary restrictions. If you have ingredient questions, feel free to give us a call and we’ll talk you through what’s in each cookie.
