• How far in advance should I order a custom cake?

  We recommend reaching out at least two weeks before your event to give us plenty of time to sketch, bake, and decorate your perfect cake. Need it sooner? Just ask, we always try our best to accommodate!

• Can you create a cake from my inspiration photo or idea?

  Absolutely. We design cakes all of the time based on the inspiration that our customers show us in photos. Just send us a picture, describe your vision, or tell us about your theme. We love bringing inventive Knoxville custom cakes to life, tailored just for you.

• How much does a custom cake cost?

  Six-inch cakes in the case at the bakery start at $49, custom one-tier cakes at $71.50 and two-tier cakes at $192.50. Full prices by size are above.

• What kind of flavors and fillings do you offer?

  Our cake flavors, fillings and frostings are listed above, from almond and red velvet to hummingbird and salted caramel, with gluten-free chocolate and vanilla cakes too. Ask us about seasonal flavors.

• Do you make allergy-friendly or dietary-specific cakes?

  Yes, we offer options for nut-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free cakes. Just mention your needs when you reach out so we can bake something safe and scrumptious for everyone.

• How do I get a quote for my custom cake?

  Simply fill out the contact form above with your event details and cake ideas. We’ll get back to you quickly with a personalized quote and answers to any other questions you have.

• Where can I order a birthday or custom cake near me in Knoxville?

  Heidi’s Bakery, 4505 Greenway Drive in Fountain City. Custom cakes are made to order; send us your theme and date on the form above or call (865) 249-6573.

• What size cake do I need for 20 or 30 people?

  For about 20 to 25 people, a 10-inch cake ($104.50). For about 30 to 40, a 12-inch ($148.50) or an extra-tall two-tier ($247.50). Every size, serving count and price is in the table above.

   

• Do you make smash cakes and first birthday cakes?

  Yes. We make first birthday cakes and smash cakes in your party colors and theme. Send us your idea or a photo and we’ll plan it with you.

• Do you make gender reveal cakes?

  Yes. You’ll find several gender reveal cakes in our gallery above, and we can match your colors and theme.

• Do you make character cakes?

  Yes. We’ve made Bluey, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Super Mario, Toy Story, Frozen, Winnie the Pooh, SpongeBob and Pokémon cakes, and more. Tell us the character and we’ll design the cake around it.

• Do you deliver cakes in Knoxville?

  Most custom cakes are picked up at the bakery at 4505 Greenway Drive in Fountain City. We deliver custom cake orders of $600 or more, with the delivery cost included.

• How is a bakery custom cake different from a grocery store cake?

  Every Heidi’s Bakery cake is baked on Greenway Drive and decorated by hand to your idea or photo, with over 20 cake flavors and 13 frostings to choose from. Since 2017 we have been perfecting the art of taking any inspiration our customers give us and turning it into their dream. We are different from box stores in that we can be much more custom and are not constrained by certain colors and designs.

• Can I get a birthday cake the same day?

  Sometimes. When we have six-inch cakes in our case, they start at $49, so call (865) 249-6573 to check before you come. Custom designs need more notice, but ask and we’ll do our best.

• Do you make photo cakes with an edible picture?

  Yes. We can make a custom edible image for your cake, like a favorite photo or design. Send us the picture when you order.
