Questions Couples Ask Us Most

Every couple has questions when they start planning their wedding desserts. Whether you're wondering when to book, how tastings work, or what delivery includes, we've gathered the answers we share most often. If you still have something on your mind, we’re always happy to help.

• How far in advance should I book my wedding cake?

  If you would like your cake delivered, we recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance to secure your date. For pickup orders, we ask for at least 2 weeks’ notice. All cakes over 2 tiers must be delivered by our team. Transporting taller cakes is delicate and we want to ensure they arrive safely and beautifully.

• Do you offer tastings and consultations?

  Absolutley! At a bare minimum each wedding cake consultation includes cupcakes of six of our most popular wedding cake flavors.

  At the consultation Heidi will sit down with you to discuss design ideas, your theme, and venue, while also exploring additional dessert options like cookies, cupcakes, or donut towers.

  By the end of the tasting, you and Heidi will have narrowed down design ideas and the overall look of your wedding dessert spread.

  If you’re still unsure about the cake flavors at the end of the session, no worries! You can change both the design and flavors up to one month before your wedding, giving you plenty of time to choose the perfect combination.

• Can you recreate a design I found online?

  Absolutely! We often help brides bring their ideas to life. Whether it’s recreating a family cake from a wedding many years ago or designing something new, we’re here for it. Bring your inspiration photos, Pinterest boards, or sketches, and we’ll collaborate with you to customize the design to perfectly match your wedding style and venue.

• Do you deliver wedding cakes and dessert tables?

  Yes, we do. And we take care of more than just drop-off. Our team delivers your wedding cake, arranges and sets it up at the venue, decorates it with your fresh or faux florals, and handles the full layout of your dessert table if you’re including one. We coordinate with your planner or venue contact to make sure everything is ready and beautiful before guests arrive.

• What if I don’t know exactly what I want yet?

  That’s completely fine. Most couples come to us with just a few ideas or photos. During your consultation, we’ll walk you through styles, flavors, and dessert display options until you feel confident in your choices.

• Can I order cupcakes or a full wedding dessert table with my cake?

  Yes! We love creating full dessert tables that include your wedding cake along with cupcakes, cookies, brownies, or other treats. Let us know what you have in mind, and we will help you build a custom display your guests will remember.
