Football season is upon us, and these 6 dips for game day are exactly what you need to satisfy those inevitable munchies. Can you even watch a football game without snacking? I don’t think it’s possible. Unless you’re in a packed-out stadium cheering for your favorite team in person, you’ll want some chips and dip by your side while you settle in front of the TV. Here are 6 of my favorite dips for game day that are sure to leave your biggest bowl empty:

3-Ingredient Spicy Queso Dip

Football is practically synonymous with nachos, so you’ll need some kind of cheese dip for game day viewing. My husband and kids absolutely love this 3 ingredient spicy queso dip! It’s warm, creamy, and bursting with flavor in every bite. The best part? I can make it as spicy or as mild as I choose, so it’s perfect for everyone at the table.

4-Ingredient Black Bean Dip

This 4 ingredient black bean dip is incredibly addicting! Honestly, I think I could eat the entire bowl myself… and I might have done that once or twice. I usually serve it with tortilla chips for the ultimate crunch, but it’s also amazing on flatbread or pita for a fun twist. And if there happens to be any leftovers (though there almost never are), I’ll slather this dip inside a tortilla for a quick and satisfying burrito.

Restaurant-Style Chunky Guacamole

Continuing the Mexican theme, you’ve got to try this restaurant-style chunky guacamole with your favorite chips. If you’re hosting guests, it’s not just delicious but also a great choice because it works beautifully for those who need a gluten or dairy-free option. Fresh ingredients make this guacamole irresistible, and you won’t have to worry about allergic reactions derailing your game-day fun!

Homemade Cilantro Lime Salsa

There’s nothing quite like homemade cilantro lime salsa when it comes to fresh, zesty flavors. This salsa is quick and easy to make! Just grab your food processor and blend the ingredients until you reach your desired consistency. Want more heat? Toss in extra jalapeño seeds for some extra spice, or leave them out if you prefer milder flavors. Either way, this salsa always hits the spot.

Reduced-Calorie Spinach Artichoke Dip

Don’t tell my husband, but this reduced-calorie spinach artichoke dip is healthier than he thinks! With a third fewer calories than similar dips, it’s a guilt-free addition to any game day spread. It’s warm, creamy, and bakes up beautifully in just 30 minutes. Serve it on sourdough bread, bagel bites, or pita chips for a satisfying snack. No one will guess that this is one of the lowest-calorie dips for game day.

Avocado and Cilantro Lime Dressing

Although technically labeled a dressing, this avocado and cilantro lime dressing doubles perfectly as a healthy dip that steals the spotlight at any gathering. I love placing it in the center of a veggie platter piled high with carrots, celery, broccoli, and other crunchy vegetables. Its creamy texture and bright citrus flavor make it incredibly hard to resist. And trust me, everyone will keep coming back for more!

Make Your Game Day Unforgettable with These 6 Dips

So, what are your favorite dips for game day? Better yet, which team are you rooting for this year? I used to be fairly indifferent to football, occasionally watching a game here or there with my dad on a Saturday afternoon. However, since moving to Knoxville, the Volunteer Nation’s enthusiasm and excitement have captured my attention.

We went to a VOLS game last season at Neyland Stadium, and WOW! That was the largest, most intense group of people I have ever been among. It was a blast! So I have my game day orange and tickets all ready to go! GO VOLS!
